Three friends hit the road the summer after high school, 1973. 25 states, two months, three sunburned left arms, one smelly canvas tent, two printed cards illustrating the deaf alphabet, 721 armadillos, 39,438 pancakes.

Nothing new concerning 'the trip' but life is very full right now.
my wife has been 'attacking' the yard with flowers, shrubs and veggies for the last month (i've hear rummors of spousal sightings, but they are unconfirmed)
Charles graduates from HS 5/28 and my mom is flying up for the occasion. she's never missed a grandchild's graduation and this will be the last one (good thing because she's getting up there in age).
the following morning at ~ 5:00 am i will throw everyone in the van and head to Father Alan's place in Mareitta Ga.. his daughter Allison Whitney is getting married on saturday 5/30....therefore 'roadtrip'.....and a roadtrip with my kids and mumsy must me done in the early hours or it will take allllllllllllll day.
i normally get to see my mom and brothers once a year, but, with the wedding my entire family will get to see them. we will try not to make the local news...but.. we can get a little rowdy at times.
i'm helping charles plan a summer that will have the feel of 1973 but on a much smaller scale. he and 2 buds are going to take a roadtrip to florida in june and then a roadtrip to minnesota in july and then he'll join me in a week in charlotte with my mom and then he'll do a 2 week stint shoveling horse manure in upstate new york (my old job) the new york working roadtrip will be a solo event..but..it's still a road trip. it should end up being 12 states...not as impressive as ours, but it's a start...
I've got a couple of posts brewing. . . let's see how far I get before Morpheus calls a halt. . .
