wow, do not remember a thing about the lava, cool pictures though. we headed southwest out of carrizozo and i remember going thru Lordstown and thinking 'how strange", this god forsaken piece of high desert seems to be forgotten my god. i was young and did not always appreciate the beauty of the west.
tuscon: i need you to fill in the pieces about who we stayed with and their relationship with both of you. i personally did not know them prior to arriving (or had completely forgotten about them from Lexington,Ky days).
